When I first saw this video I was surprised with this gentleman's passion and knowledge of typography and design, I loved the video and it stayed in the back of my mind. A few weeks later I was doing my usual "daily research", half blunted and taking in every page of every design magazine that my local Borders had to offer. I came across an interview with this same guy in the orange hat. Turns out he is the one man army behind Draplin Design Co. and has put out some of snowboarding's best design work. Apparently that hat and the rest of his merch sold on his website has paid his mortgage this year, along with doing design work for companies like Union Bindings, Coal Headwear, Grenade and Snowboard Magazine. Thank you Aaron Draplin for the inspiration...

Just Do It

The last words of Gary Gilmore before he was executed by a firing squad in Utah was "Let's do it!"which inspired Nike's 1988 ad campaign Just Do It... kinda crazy

In a world were everything has already been done, at least take inspiration from a credible source... Norman Rockwell is one of the greatest illustrators of the 20th century. Dude has his own museum! Here is a shirt by Play Cloths that was taken from a Saturday Evening Post cover he did.

Special thanks to Nick Green on this one... T-Shirt available at Moda Three

now posting...

The postings of Moda Three's blog The Grind are now being graced with the knowledge of Mr. Nick Green. When he's not skating Kenosha's Basik skate plaza, traveling to Utah in search of waste deep champagne powder or counting his extensive Vans and Nike shoe collection, you can find him contributing his industry knowledge via blogging. Thumbs up to that!!

r.i.p. sukina

You are the teacher, the pathfinder, and the moon-dog of my soul. I thought are adventures had just begun but now you are gone. You were there for me in the most important time in my life and now I am lost. It will hurt until I figure out the meaning of all this. I know there is a reason you were brought into my life and I was not ready for you to go. Thank you Suki for taking me this far, I love you and I will miss you forever.
